Are the birds behaving strangely this year - 2012?
This article from 2012 discusses what seemed to be a 'fluke' of some kind with how the birds were behaving, most notably yellow-finches. They seemed 'frantic', always at the thistle feeders, and flitting about nervously. Of course, we now wonder if they were somehow preparing for what was to come later that year...Hurricane Sandy!
