Why is SPREADING FEAR so powerful?

I think the best thing we can do is to first understand that we are not getting out of this world alive, and the best we can do is learn how to enjoy each moment to its fullest, and try not to stress too much about what might come, or about what is now, or even about what has been.

Preparation, planning, positivity...YES.

Fretting, sweating, panicking, negativity...NO.

I am reminded of Jesus' words, as he was reminding his disciples to "chill" (as we might describe it today).

He said (from Matthew 6: 25, 34 - NIV):
V.25: "Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes?"
V.34: "Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own."

Then too, there's the words of Bobby McFerrin (no, not Bob Marley, like I thought - sorry, Bobby McFerrin), in his 1988 hit song "Don't worry...be happy!"

If only we knew how, right?

Actually, I believe we do..."inherently"...if we learn to listen to what is within us all from the moment of Creation itself...that tiny "seed" of Pure Love, which has been given to each and every one of us.

The way I see it, there's a 'still-small-voice', which is always present within us, but is only audible or 'feelable' (is that a word?!) when we are able to quiet the chaos and noises of everyday life enough to hear and feel that presence, and go 'inward', where we can commune with that presence in a 'spiritual' manner.

It should be like being held securely in the embrace of Love itself; with a clear and vivid understanding that "all things are well"...(even if we know many things are not altogether well, in 'real-time-real-life').

In other words, we can learn more about how to truly say "It is what it is", and carry that as our mantra in all we think, say and do.

If we can learn to leave the chaos and noise and other negativity "where it belongs", through a disciplined approach to weeding those things out, we can better hear and feel the peace and positivity that is abundant and freely accessible to all.

Overlooking perceptions reveals Pure Love.

Tempered avoidance of some of the media and other informational venues is highly recommended, if possible; especially if we are truly seeking to alleviate some of the stress known to be caused or exacerbated by all that stuff.

So, in a nutshell, it becomes just another "choice" we need to make, to weed out the junk and let the real "fruits" and other goodness blossom in all their glory, y'know?

Just sayin'...
