President Trump's First Speech To Congress - How GREAT Was It?

Well, I've been through ten of my 'highlights' from President Trump's first Congressional speech. I think there's about 20 more, so here's a continuation.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
  • Wants to restrict 'new regulations' (i.e., EPA, etc.) he feels tend to 'cripple' many industries. Would like to see two "old regulations" eliminated for every one "new regulation".
    • Yes, this might help, and would likely be great, but it might not be easy to enforce. Every new regulation? The logistics of it smell 'iffy' to me.
  • Wants "American-made steel" used on new pipeline projects.
    • While this is, in theory, a great thing, it might not be prudent re: costs. But, if Mr. Trump can create jobs through such   measures, I'm all for it.
  • Is 'withdrawing' from the Trans-Pacific-Partnership (TPP) international agreement.
    • OK, this one is way over my head, since I am really not familiar with the TPP or     what it means to Americans. But if Mr. Trump thinks it is not in our favor, maybe he has reasons for thinking that way. I'll reserve comment for now; here's hoping it's great.
  • Wants to combat illicit drugs entering America, to help curb what he seems to believe is a very big deal regarding many of America's woes.
    • Well, I can't deny that some illicit drugs used and abused   by some Americans are likely to cause or exacerbate some serious negativity...for sure. But, some of the so-called 'illicit drugs' might need to be reviewed and even reclassified, such as marijuana...since "The People" have already made it known in great numbers that they want to have access to that particular one, without fear or guilt or labeling or other negative pressures. For some, that might be great. Time will tell.
  • Wants to destroy ISIS and 'radical Islamic terrorism".
    • Well, again, this is way over my head, so I'll reserve comments, but any 'terrorism' is negative, in my (humble) opinion...including 'terrorism' (or fear) of overbearing, deceptive, or otherwise 'frightening' government controls on individual freedoms and choices. So, there's that, too. A nation or world free from ALL 'terrorism' would surely be great.
  • Wants Supreme Court Justices to defend our Constitution; said while speaking in reference to his SC nominee, Neil Goresuch.
    • Again, over my head, since I'm not real familiar with the nitty-gritty-details. However, I'll certainly agree that SC Justices (and ALL government leaders) should 'defend our Constitution'. After all, isn't that their number-one priority? Isn't that phrase used in many (or all?) "swearing-in" ceremonies? If not, why not, right? That would surely be great.
  • Wants Congress to 'work past party differences'.
    • Hmmm...yes, of course. how very 'quaint'. I'm being a bit sarcastic, because I am not very confident such a thing can happen, although I do wish it could. I am not a real fan of political parties in the first place, and I truly wish we could develop something more 'altruistically-motivated' within our government systems, but I don't see that changing too much very soon. Dunno...wishing for it, hoping for it, praying for it to go well, because that would certainly be great.
